The Big Ass Beaver Moon, More Surf, More Trump, and More Patriots stuff.
|
|
The Super Beaver Moon craze was funny to me. This is my only shot of the Beaver Moon. Hey, Beavers did this under the Beaver moon.
There were so many vehicles pulled over, on so many roads, all trying to get that one Beaver Moon shot. I guess, I was a little upset with myself for not having my good camera on me. The whole I-phone fad is great for the well lit selfies and other silly situations. But this moon required some serious lens work. I knew that there would be an influx on social media of moon pics. And I was right. However, you won't see any from me. Like I said, the I-phone is not a Nikon.
I'm pretty sure John Vose did not shoot this with an I-Phone.
We were once again blessed with more surf. Not exactly what we had the week before, but certainly nothing to sneeze at. Sunny, semi clean, and tolerable water and air temps. I shot the crew at the Wall on Friday. There was a short window where it made it worthwhile.
This is a rare pic. Rick and Mikey Evans sharing the session. Nothing better than surfing with one of your kids. And to be able to get a photo of the two of you, is one of life's simple, but great feelings. I was stoked when I pulled the trigger. I suppose it would of been better if Mikey was up and riding. But I like the way he's getting to his feet. The angle of his board, and the direction of his head leaves no doubt that he's on his way to another great ride.
And Rick is just cruising into the future. No looking back, only forward.
This gallery was a pleasant surprise. One of the millennium crew took a bunch of pics of his buds and they came out really good. Cam McLeod has an eye. And I mean that with all sincerity. Cam you can shoot brother.
I hope those dickhead friends of yours gave you the proper kudos.
You earned it. The pic above is of their buddy Joe. This might be the best pic
I have ever seen of Joe. I hope he at least appreciates your work.
And speaking of appreciating, Erica Nardone has had some encouraging news this week on her eye injury. It has been one month since the accident and her damaged eye is making some progress. It is still a wait and see situation, but there are good signs. She recently posted on Facebook thanking those of you who sent cards, and brought food to Matt and the family. And in this time of Thanksgiving, the act of giving takes on a whole deeper meaning. We are all still sending positive vibes and powerful prayers.
To quote the Beatles Erica, "It Won't be Long..." Be patient. Let nature help.
So Cory and I went to the Patriots game last Sunday. And while I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, that game was hard to watch. Even if it was in the Boston Globe Press box on the 50 yard line. That opening drive gave us all a false sense of an easy victory. Ugh. It was anything but. Still it was a fun night, even if we did loose to the Poodle.
The funny thing is, the night was dedicated to Veterans and the Military. And I had no idea until we got there. So I was not wearing anything that would show of my service. I was in Patriots gear. Not Marine Corps gear.
The halftime show featured the Marine Corps band and a reenactment of the Flag raising on Iwo Jima. I stood up during the playing of the Marine's Hymn. I just wished I had known. Any way, as most of you Patriot fans know, it came down to the last play of the game. A failed pass to Gronk. They had 4 downs on the one yard line. FOUR. And they could not punch it in.
Those of us in attendance and those back home were screaming "GIVE THE BALL TO BLOUNT!" Surely he can get one yard with four attempts. But nooooooo....they blew it.
The last play. Click on this image to see the larger pic. I don't want to hear that "Gronk was held, or messed with crap." He failed to catch the ball. Period. Punctured lung or not. He didn't catch the ball. End of game. End of story.

Now for Some More Of My Weekly Global Observances
Wait, Trump called and met with Romney? Are you kidding me?
Look, I'm not a fan of either one
of these clowns bu the shit that Mitt said about Donnie? There's no way he could forgive that. None. I mean could you? Even though it was 90% accurate. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm Italian and I understand revenge.
Of course this could be the perfect example of the famous quote of Don Corleone: "You keep your friends close, but you keep your enemies closer."
"Hey Mitt! How's it feel? Yo Mitt, how's it feel to be a LOSER?!"
I know I know, but there are times when I just can't help myself. I saw this photo and couldn't get beyond the fact that all three of these guys had that smirk on their faces. So I imagined them as a 3pc band. And I called them THE SMIRKS. Which is not a bad band name by the way. The album would be called FORGIVE and FORGET.
Ever since the Orange one was elected president, the streets have been filled with protesters. Most of them noisy and holding signs. And a few of them burning flags. I don't mind the protesters though I have no idea what they are trying to achieve. Do they think that Trump will hear their pleas and simply step down? No? So what are they protesting? It's over.
You got the ego maniac instead of the corrupt witch. Lose lose.
They burned this flag on veterans day. I'm sorry, but if I were present at a flag burning on veterans day? I would gladly spend the night in jail. Because that's where I would end up after kicking the snot out of these freaking losers. Sorry if I offend anyone (nope), but burning the flag is one thing, but to burn it on Veterans day? I'm sorry that's where I draw the line.
I'm swinging on the clowns with the matches and lighters.
OK the Patriots play the Forty Niners today. Ugh. It's no secret that I despise Colin Kapernick. And it's no secret why. But I found this to be amusing and wanted to share it with you.
KSM Photoshop of the Week
The TRUMP camp has been out recruiting all the potential positions for the Trump Administration this week. We know about the Romney meeting, but did you catch who Mitt was with? Good Lord it's KSM! This can't be good. This can't be true. It's not. It's just me messing with KSM again. Yeah, I have fun doing this.
So my friends, please take advantage of this weekly photo shop of the mastermind who planned 9-11 and resulted in the deaths of 3,000 innocent civilians by KSM (Khalid Sheik Mohammed).
*Note to self -must pick up a case of used Fake necklaces
at Home Depot this week.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING November 24th, 2016!

Yesterday- Mike "Zappy" Paugh Head Dipping At The Wall.
Circa 1980's.
(Below) This was how Zap used to get shacked. He'd bend his head at the neck and pray for an exit. He'd make 50% of them. I don't know how he could possibly see with his head upside down, but he was a young ripper back in the day. He still rips, but I'll bet anything he does not bend his head like this anymore. BIG Congrats to Mike, Allie, and Rorri on the new addition to the Paugh family. Little Julian Paugh will be hitting the beaches before you know it. So stoked for those guys.
